Adam-Alexander MALAVAZOS-SIEKIERKA
Adam holds a M.Eng. degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in Structural Engineering (2020) and a M.Sc. degree in “Design and Analysis of Structures” (2023) both from the National Technical University of Athens. During these degree programs, he demonstrated a particular interest in steel structures, authoring theses on the analysis and design of composite buildings and bridges, titled ” “Design of an 8-storey steel building with alternative types of connections”” and “Aspects of design of a tied-arch bridge with road traffic and fixed-track system” respectively, both under the supervision of Assistant Professor Pavlos Thanopoulos. Currently, he is a PhD candidate at the Institute of Steel Structures at the same university under the supervision of Professor Dimitrios Vamvatsikos, focusing on the risk assessment of maritime and inland waterway ports and infrastructure, and he’s participating in EU-funded research projects.
